I don’t agree with your disagreement ;) Not because you are not right, but because you are substituting “customer” with “important” and then basing your whole thesis on that.
I never said app users aren’t important to the store. I just said that customers are those paying money to the store, not those who use the store to process their orders. Store services are free for end-users. It’s developers who pay for them. Therefore developers are customers in this relationship.
You are basing your logic on comparison with brick-and-mortar stores which I think I’ve “proven” is wrong. App developers aren’t suppliers because the “store” doesn’t order anything from developers so there’s nothing for them to supply.
I agree that end-users are important for the app store, though. As important as buyers are for a mall — to make their customers (renters) happy.
