Earlier this year when I released version 2 of marker.js I addressed a lot of requests from the v.1 users. One of the recurring requests for v.2 was to add image cropping and rotation functionality. After some thought, I realized that adding this directly into marker.js would complicate it substantially and at the same time won’t be useful to people not needing the image annotation functionality. So, with that in mind…

Please meet CROPRO — an image cropping, rotation, flipping, and straightening JavaScript library for your web apps.

Here are some of the highlight features:

  • crop with either free or user-selected aspect ratio (configurable).
  • rotate in either 90° steps or fine-tune with a straightening control.
  • flip images horizontally and vertically.
  • crop on the full-size image or zoom-to-crop.
  • configurable alignment grid.
  • crop inline on your page or in a popup.
  • responsive, touch-friendly, customizable UI.
  • full TypeScript support and more.

CROPRO is distributed under the same license as marker.js — free for any type of use with a small logo visible while editing, or there’s a commercial license to remove the logo.

Until the end of April 2021, commercial licenses are available with a 50% discount when buying separately and up to 86% off when buying in a bundle with marker.js.

Please check CROPRO out and help me spread the word! Thank you! 🙏
