Previously MVPs were awarded every quarter, so if you didn’t get it you can be nominated for the next quarter, etc. I don’t know if there was a hard rule, but I think a common sense de-facto rule was that you have skip one or two quarters.

Now that MVPs are awarded every month, I don’t know what’s the process for renomination is. My guess is that you will get engaged by a local MVP lead anyway and they will provide guidance in case you are not awarded on the first attempt.
